Dr. Iyad Abumoghli, Founder and Director of the Faith for Earth Initiative, has more than 35 years of experience with international organizations, the private sector, and scientific institutions. Dr. Abumoghli’s expertise focus on strategic planning, sustainable development, natural resources management, interfaith collaboration and knowledge and innovation.
Dr. Abumoghli is currently the Lead Principal Advisor on Engaging with Faith-Based Organizations at UNEP. Previously Dr. Abumoghli held several leading positions including the Regional Director and Representative of UNEP in West Asia, Director of Knowledge and Innovation at UNDP’s Regional Office for the Arab states, Senior Environment Advisor at UNDP’s Sub-Regional Resource Facility in Beirut, Global Practice Manager for the Energy and Environment Group in New York, Assistant Resident Representative of UNDP in Jordan.
Dr. Abumoghli holds a doctorate degree in Bio-Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath/UK, and an outstanding graduate of the Virtual Development Academy - Johns University.
Member, IFRS Foundation's ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board)
Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective 15 July 2022.
Her career has been focused on building connections between business and sustainable development, working across multinational and indigenous companies, public institutions and civil society organisations—in Africa and Europe—to initiate sustainable development initiatives.
She served as the inaugural Group Chief Sustainability and Governance Officer of Dangote Industries Limited—one of Africa’s largest manufacturing businesses—from 2017 to 2020. In this role, she was responsible for developing the company’s sustainability culture, strategy and reporting across 14 countries.
Dr Nnoli-Edozien has also served on several boards, committees and initiatives focused on corporate culture, impact investing, sustainability reporting and governance.
She has a PhD in social ethics, cultural adaptation, sustainability and governance from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Germany and a Bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.

She is a highly experienced, skilled and qualified Audit Executive, Director and Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years operational and senior management experience. She possesses the acumen of a modern-day finance professional having successfully worked alongside CEOs, board of directors and top executives in strategic decision making, growing organizations and organizational management.
She served three years as a partner and the head of transformation at BDO Incorporated SA. She currently serves as a member of the Boards and chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee. She also served as a Chairperson of the Initial Professional Development Working Committee and Chairperson of the Remuneration Committee.
Prior to this, she served at the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) as a senior engagement manager, chairperson of the SM forum at the AGSA Gauteng office, senior audit quality control specialist, audit manager, and trainee accountant.
She qualified as a CA (SA) in mid-2009 and has over 10 years’ experience in a wide variety of audits such as performance, regulatory and international audits. She has done audits in the public sector (national departments, provincial departments, municipalities, municipal entities and public entities [incl. Land Bank]), NPCs, the UN organisations and a variety of private sector companies.
She obtained her Master’s degree in International Accounting with UJ in 2012. She completed her BCom Accounting Science (undergraduate and Honors) and her Certificate in Theory of Accounting with UP. She also obtained her UNISA BBBEE MDP qualification with a distinction.

Head of ESG for Middle East & Africa, S&P Global Sustainable1
Hussam Sultan joined S&P Global Sustainable1 as Head of ESG solutions for the Middle East and Africa. He has over 18 years of experience in commercial banking across several regions including Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining S&P Global Sustainable1, Hussam was Head of Commercial Banking at a leading regional banking group and before that with an international bank both based in Malaysia, where most of his work was focused on developing sustainable banking strategies, products and propositions to facilitate access to better ESG practices.
Hussam is a graduate of Civil Engineering from UCL and a holder of an MSC in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University.
BDO Sri Lanka Partner, Assurance & Advisory
Jerad is a partner in the Audit and Assurance division at BDO Sri Lanka and Maldives. He also serves as the Head of Technical and Training at BDO.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and holding a B.Com (Special) degree from the University of Colombo. He has more than 16 years’ experience mainly in audit, consulting and training functions. Prior to joining BDO, he worked at Ernst & Young (EY), Sri Lanka for nearly 10 years, including their offices located in Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Guam.
After leaving EY, he worked in the BDO, Fiji office for two years as an Associate Director prior to joining BDO Sri Lanka as an Associate Director. He is specialized in general financial accounting, audit and in providing services related to IFRS training & consulting. His local and international experience includes auditing clients in different industries including, banking and finance, leisure, telecommunication, manufacturing, transportation, food & beverage, retail and services. He has conducted IFRS training in Fiji, Bhutan and in the Maldives.
He is also serving as a facilitator at the Institute of Charted Accountants of Sri Lanka in conducting various training sessions.
Sustainability Solutions at Wood plc, Senior Vice President
Ann has 25 years of experience in the corporate world working with sustainability and purpose. She was part of founding SDG Ambition with UN Global Compact and has dedicated her life to serving as a trailblazer for the UN SDGs.
She launched SDG Ambition at the WEF in Davos, which challenges and supports companies in being more strategic, and transformative in how they run their businesses to deliver on the 2030 Agenda and build on the ESG framework. SDG Ambition will challenge companies to set bolder goals aligned with their purpose, governance and strategy - and address barriers to speed and scale - with enterprise-wide integration that hardwires the SDGs into business management, business processes, and information technology landscapes. The first ambition launched was Business Ambition for 1.5 C. This ambition challenges companies to take bold action to redefine business models to limit the global temperature and mitigate climate change, which will require integration of new functionalities and datasets within the existing enterprise software for businesses to become sustainable enterprises. This includes carbon accounting across the value chain, etc.
She also recently launched SAP Purpose Network Live to connect a community of changemakers committed to addressing the complexity caused by COVID-19.

Davinder is a CPA, CA, with extensive business operations leadership experience from a variety of organizations, including Ontario Power Generation and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited and KPMG Global Infrastructure Advisory. With a deep understanding of energy, infrastructure and financing, she has been responsible for all facets of decision making to achieve organization goals and objectives. At CPA Canada, Davinder leads a team that conducts technical research to develop guidance and thought leadership on emerging and current issues related to strategy, risk, technology, finance, climate change and sustainability to support CPA members in business, government and not for profit to be more resilient, adaptive and innovative. Davinder is also the Executive Director of the Canadian Chapter of the Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) CFO Leadership Network and is the Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Board of Directors.

Tracy is one of the leaders of the Deloitte UK Centre for Corporate Governance and specialises in corporate
governance matters. She regularly presents to clients on the latest governance and corporate reporting
developments at the Deloitte Academy in London plus one-to-one with client boards and audit committees.
Tracy is the author of Deloitte UK’s series of governance publications and also undertakes benchmarking exercises
for many companies keen to meet current standards for best practice and bespoke training for board members new
to the UK governance framework or needing a refresher on the requirements.
Tracy was one of the lead authors for the recent Deloitte Insight’s article ‘Tectonic shifts: How ESG is changing
business, moving markets, and driving regulation’ and was also involved in Deloitte’s Global research piece
‘The Audit Committee Frontier: Addressing climate change’.
She is also the executive officer for the UK Audit Committee Chairs’ Independent Forum.
Chief Financial Officer at Softlogic Life Insurance PLC/ Independent Non Executive Director / A Governing Council member of CA Sri Lanka
At currently I serves as Chief Financial Officer of Softlogic life insurance PLC, as a Governing council member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and serves as Independent Director at JFS Holding Limited. I was the youngest CFO to recognised as “CFO Excellence Award” from CMA Sri Lanka in year 2021.
I also serve as Chairman of the Finance and Technical Committee (CFO Forum) of the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka since year 2018 and chairman of the Task force to Develop Non-Financial Reporting Practices in Sri Lanka at the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Sri Lanka. He also serves as member of the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance committee of South Asian Federation of Accountants, member of Standard Interpretation committee and IFRS 17 Implementation task force of Sri Lanka. I also provide leadership for IFRS 17: Insurance Contracts implementation of Sri Lanka from Insurance industry perspective.
I am a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Associate member of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. Mr. Nuwan holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and also holds a Business Management Finance Special Degree from University of Kelaniya - Sri Lanka. He counts over 16 years of management experience in fields of strategy, finance, audit and general Management including multinational exposure.
At Softlogic life, being CFO I plays active role in overall management (General Management) of the Company reporting to Managing Director of the Company. I also head the business strategy team of the Company and formulate strategy of the company and core member of Product development committee and Asset and Liability (ALCO) management committee. I am a regular attending for board meetings, Board Audit committee, Board Investment, Risk Committee and related party transaction review committees. Under my leadership streamline, the finance operation within short period of time and were able to lead the team to won over 40 accolades nationally and internationally. I also served as an industry expert on the committee for drafting the Insurance syllabus for the Department of Finance and inputs to revamp syllabus of Department of Accountancy of University of Kelaniya.

Werner has eleven years’ experience in the incorporation and development of start-up technology companies specialising in EdTech, MedTech and FinTech, in addition to completing his SAICA training contract at PwC where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) in 2010.
While at PwC, he audited companies in different sectors of the South African economy and enjoyed exposure to a vast array of financial environments whilst specialising in the healthcare sector, where he predominantly still finds himself today in his current position as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Vertice MedTech.
He acted in various part time academic positions at Forbes Lever Baker, The Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA) and Edge Business School during the incorporation of the tech start-ups, where he lectured students from second year to CTA Level 2 in auditing on the UNISA syllabus.
Werner’s specialisation is the use of information processing and reporting systems and related technologies to reduce business risk and increase the accuracy of reporting. The companies that he co-founded in EdTech, MedTech and Fintech over the last 11 years, now support over 100,000 healthcare professionals, multi-national medical device, and pharmaceutical companies as well as millions of patients.
